On the occasion of the visit of His Eminence Luis Antonio Cardinal Tagle to Bengaluru for the XXXIV Plenary of the CCBI, on 23 January 2023, Most Rev. Antonysamy Peter Abir, Chairman of the Commission for Bible, and Fr. Yesu Karunanidhi, Executive Secretary along with CBF Asia sub-region delegates had a private audience with him to brief about the Biblical pastoral ministry in India. Cardinal Tagle as the Pro-Prefect of the Dicastery for Evangelisation heads the Catholic Biblical Federation (CBF).

Chairman & Member Bishops
At the XXXIV CCBI Plenary Assembly in Jan 2023, Most Rev. Antonysamy Peter Abir was re-elected as the Chairman of the Commission for Bible. Most Rev. John Rodrigues and Most Rev. Paul Toppo are elected as Member Bishops. Our gratitude to Most Rev. T. Joseph Raja Rao SMM for his presence at the Commission as the Member Bishop.
